Pseudolathra texana (Casey, 1905) comb. nov.
Lathrobiopsis texana Casey, 1905: 98.
Lathrobium (Lathrobiopsis) texanum: Bernhauer and Schubert 1912: 269.
Type material.
Lectotype, Lathrobiopsis texana Casey, herein designated (USNM): "Tex. / CASEY bequest 1925 / [red] TYPE USNM 38120 / [handwritten] Lathrobiopsis Lathrobium texanum Csy / Lectotype Lathrobiopsis texana Casey Desg. Haberski & Caterino."
Remarks.
This species is transferred to Pseudolathra based on the protibia not being expanded with protibial combs ( Żyła et al. 2020) and the presence of a carina on the elytral epipleuron (Assing and Schülke 2012). Its habitus is overall inconsistent with North American Lathrobium . The head is square with the posterior angles projecting; the pronotum is quadrate rather than long; and the elytral punctures are arranged in regular rows.
