Azaleothrips bhattii Vijai Veer et Chauhan
Azaleothrips bhattii Vijay Veer & Chauhan, 1990: 65 .
This species was described from three females and three males collected in Uttar Pradesh, India. According to the original description, it is close to lepidus, and belongs to the amabilis group. Moreover, the authors stated that “it differs from lepidus in having tibiae and three sensoria on antennal segment III”. However, lepidus also have tibiae (as a matter of course) and three sensoria on the third antennal segment. Unfortunately, the present authors could not find out any more available information for specific determination in the original description.
