Type material examined. 2 exx. Syntype (NHM): card-mounted, abdomen & genitalia mouned on separate card, “SYN- \ TYPE ” [round label with blue border], “ Amplectopus \ pallicornis .” [in Broun’s hand], “ New Zealand. [red underline] \ Broun Coll. \ Brit. Mus. \ 1922-482.”, “Pirongia”, “2526.” [in Broun’s hand]. Syntype (NHM): card-mounted, same label data as above.

Remarks. Broun (1893) studied two specimens collected from Mount Pirongia by A. T. Urquhart.
