Type material examined. 1 ex. Holotype (NHM): card-mounted, abdomen & genitalia mounted on separate card, “2369.” [in Broun’s hand], “Westland”, “New Zealand. [red underline] \ Broun Coll. \ Brit Mus. \ 1922-482.”, “ Amplectopus \ fuscus ” [in Broun’s hand], “HOLO- \ TYPE” [round label with red border].

Remarks. A single specimen studied by Broun (1893) was collected by Cavell at Boatman’s.
