Type material. Syntypes 2 (ZMH-A0000646, ZMH-A0000647). TANZANIA: Lake Tanganyika (east bank), “ Kawende ” [6°33’S, 29°48’E] .

Additional material. There are syntypes from “Kawende, Tanganyka” at the ZMB (no. 3110).

Collection remarks. The type locality “ Kawende ” refers to the landscape of Uwende or Ukawende in German East-Africa (Deutsch Ostafrika), located on the east bank of Lake Tanganyika. The specimens came from the collection of the ZMB and were collected by the German explorer Paul Reichard (1854–1938) .
