Taxonomic remarks. Attems (1928) did not specify the number of specimens in his description and Weidner (1960) listed 2 syntypes at the ZMH but only one is present. The species was transferred to Scolopendra by Lewis et al. (2006: 36) and renamed attemsi to avoid homonymy with S. intermedia Porat, 1871 .
