Type locality and specimens. Habitat: Usambara, Amani [today Muheza]. Dimensions. Long corp. [body length] mm 9, lat 0,5 [width 0.5 mm]. Pedum paria [leg pairs] ♂ 37.
Type material. Holotype ♂ (ZMH-A0000552). TANZANIA: Usambara Highland, Muheza, (Amani Medical Research Center) [5°05’58’’S, 38°38’00’’E].
Preservation. 1 jar: Label 1. Amani, 20.I.05. unterhalb des Laboratoriums. 10–20 cm unter der Erdoberfläche; Label 2. Schizotaenia minuta Silv, Typus!
Old type catalogue. Weidner (1960), p. 64, No. 38, Holotype ♂.
Type status. Silvestri listed only one specimen in his description which is the holotype.
Collection remarks. The type locality “Amani” refers to the present Amani Center for Medical Research located ca. 40 km west of Tanga. The specimen was collected from soil (“ unter der Erdoberfläche ”) near a laboratory at 10–20 cm depth .
Current systematic position. Alloschizotaenia minuta (Silvestri, 1907); transferred to this genus by Brölemann (1909: 337).
