Curatorial remarks. 1 microscope slide is held at the ZMH (notes on file card: “1 Präp., Chile, Coronnel, 15.1.1920, R. Paessler, Crabill det. et rev. et präp.”) .
Other type material. There is 1♀ defective, 1 slide (head, remounted from Attems’ original slide by Crabill) (syntype) from Chile, “Corral” (coll. W. Michaelsen) held at the NHMW (no. 7023). Ilie et al. (2009: 44) noted: ” 1♀ syntype from Corall collected by Plate is stored at the ZMB (Moritz & Fischer 1979: 346) and 1♀ indicated as holotype (sic!) labelled only ‘ Chile, Corrall’ at the ZMH (Weidner 1960: 62)”. There is also a syntype from Corral at the ZMB (no. 2917). The ZMH specimen is a syntype.
Collection remarks. The specimen was collected by Wilhelm Michaelsen during his expedition to the southern tip of South America 1892–93.
Current systematic position. Plateurytion metopias (Attems, 1903); transferred to this genus by Bonato et al. (2007: 6).
