Type locality and specimens. Fundort [locality]: Kimberley Distrikt in N. W. Australien [Northwest Australia], 2 Exemplare .

Type material. Syntype (ZMH-A0000580). AUSTRALIA: Western Australia, Kimberley [ca. 17°20’S, 125°54’E] .

Preservation. 1 jar: Label. Arthrorhabdus mjoebergi Krpl. CoType, Mjoeberg C: VII.14. Kimberley distr. (Kraepelin handwriting).

Old type catalogue. Weidner (1960), p. 64, No. 2. Paratype (written as mjoebergi).

Type status. Weidner (1960: 64) listed 1 paratype but the specimen is re-interpreted here as a syntype. The fate of the second specimen is unknown but it may be present at the NHRS .

Collection remarks. The specimen was collected by the Swedish zoologist and ethnographer Eric Georg Mjöberg (1882–1938) (see Monod et al. 2019: 188 for biographical data).
