Distribution in Iran. Golestan (30 km E Minudasht, Gole Loveti) (Cate et al. 2002), Tehran (Binaghi 1940), Iran (no locality cited) (Modarres Awal 1997 as Corymbites purpureus Poda).

New materials. Golestan (45 km N Shahrud, 10 km S Shirin-Abad), Mazandaran (Mirzan-Abad env.) (Platia coll.).

General distribution. Endemic to Iran (Cate 2007).
