Current name: Euonymus europaeus L. ( Celastraceae).

Note: Paclt (in Taxon 47: 473. 1998) proposed amending the gender of Euonymus to feminine but this was not recommended by the Committee for Spermatophyta (in Taxon 49: 270. 2000).
