10. Tylodinus jonesi Luna-Cozar, sp. nov

Diagnosis. Length male, 3.2–4.2 mm, female, 3.4–3.8 mm. Width male, 1.6–2.3 mm, female 1.8–2.1 mm. As for T. buchanani with the following exceptions: head with scales on vertex similar to head scales. Tubercles on I 2 in front of elytral declivity, very small, I4 with tubercle on declivity, longer than tubercle on I2, occasionally small tubercles between tubercles on I3 present, without tubercles on I6, I7 with subbasal tubercle; striae 10 incomplete; elytral declivity with lateral black polished area. Male abdomen with ventrite 1 concave, median section glabrous, ventrite 2 concave, as long as 3–4 combined, concave, median section glabrous. Hind femur length not reaching elytral apex, premucro absent. Male genitalia (Figure 106) with median lobe in lateral view slender; in ventral view as long as apodemes, laterally convex at sides beyond 0.27 of length from the base; apical process in lateral view slightly curved. Female genitalia with tergite eight constricted, apex slightly curved, sternite eight trapezoidal, median area membranous, 1/3 as long as basal plate.

Geographic distribution. México (Chiapas).

Habitat and elevation. Specimens were collected from leaf litter in high elevation cloud forest between 1800–2220 m.

Derivation of specific name. Patronym, named after Robert W. Jones (México) of the Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro, Mexico.
