Type locality. N.W. Iran: Mt. Savalan, Kutursu. Holotype: male (ZIN).
Material examined. IRAN: NW Persia, Savalan, Kutursu, 27.6.1914, 1♂ (Holotype); ibidem, 28.6.1914, 2♂ (Paratypes) (ZIN); Iran, Azerbaidjan, Mt. Sabalan, 4.6.1964, 2♂ (leg. et det. M. Descamps) (ZIN); ibidem, 1♂ (AİBÜEM).
Distribution. N.W. Iran: Ardebil Province, Mt. Savalan (Fig. 847).
Remarks. This is the type species of the genus Savalania Mistshenko, 1951 (synonymized here) (see the Remarks section of the genus Nocarodes above). Descamps (1968) described the female.
According to the ICZN (Article 34.2) the species name of this taxon is combined.
