Remarks. Bey-Bienko (1957) considered the genus Nocaropsis Ramme a synonym of Paranothrotes for the first time, but Presa & Garcia (1983: 18), Otte (1994: 175) and Yin, X.-C., J. Shi & Z. Yin (1996, sensu Eades et al. 2016) gave it as valid genus. I propose here again it is a synonym of Paranothrotes .

Otte (1994: 185) listed “ Paranothrotes chinghaiensis Demirsoy ” with the reference of “Ying, 1974”. It is probably a listing mistake. Asulconotus chinghaiensis Ying, 1974 is a Gomphocerinae species from China.
