Remarks. Ramme (1951) described Paranocarodes aserbeidshanicus after two females. I had the opportunity to compare it with the rich material of P. margaritae in the ZIN. P. aserbeidshanicus Ramme has a slightly smaller body and yellow hind tibia, but some specimens of P. margaritae collected from Arax Valley have a similar body size and yellow tibia or basal half of the tibia yellow, turning to reddish apically in some. Moreover both taxa are found in the same valley Arax, Nakhichevan. After the comparison with the type specimens I have concluded that both taxa are synonyms.

On the label of P. aserbeidshanicus there is the word “ara”. Ramme (1951) correctly recorded it as “Aza (Arastal)” in Nakhichevan.
