Iranotmethis cyanipennis iranicus (Werner, 1939) comb. nov. et stat. nov.

(Figs. 113, 115, 172–173)

Tmethis iranica n. sp.: Werner, 1939: 131.

Iranotmethis cyanipennis cyanipes Bey-Bienko, 1951 syn. nov.

Material examined. IRAN: N. Iran, Teheran, Keredje [ Karaj], 19.5.1947, 1♂ (Holotype of Iranotmethis cyanipennis cyanipes) , 1♀ (Paratype of Iranotmethis cyanipennis cyanipes) (ZIN); Yazd, Österr. Iran Exped. 1950, 28.2.1950 , 1♀ (NMW); Ghazvin (Qazvin), 8.1950 , 1♂ (leg. Mirzayans) (NHMUK).

Remarks. Werner (1939) described this taxon in the genus Tmethis, but it can be understood from the description, that it is undoubtedly a member of Iranotmethis . Bey-Bienko describing I. cyanipennis cyanipes Bey- Bienko, 1951 (Bey-Bienko & Mistshenko 1951: 299) did not know the paper of Werner (1939). The type localities of I. cyanipennis iranicus (Werner, 1939) and I. cyanipennis cyanipes are the same place, Karaj. The only type specimen of I. cyanipennis iranicus is lost, but the description and the coloration of the hind legs (Werner 1939: 131) agree with I. cyanipennis cyanipes except for the size of the female.

According to the ICZN (Articles 31.2, 34.2) the subspecies name of this taxon is combined.
