Remarks. As stated by Uvarov (1933: 216) in the description of this taxon the size, the structure and coloration are variable. The hind wing is mainly greenish, but in some specimens bluish-green. A couple of specimens from Pakistan and some within the paratypes from Iran have blue hind wings, but all of them may be considered to belong to a single taxon. It was described as an independent species (Uvarov 1933: 216). Uvarov (1943: 50) listed it as subspecies of E. granulosa . Subsequent authors (Bey-Bienko & Mistshenko 1951; Mirzayans 1959: 15; Bey-Bienko & Richter 1960: 9; Shumakov 1963: 67; Descamps & Donskoff 1965: 498; Presa & Garcia 1983: 9; Otte 1994: 143; Mirzayans 1998: 11; Hodjat 2012: 267) followed Uvarov (1943). Here “ bampura ” is considered a valid species closely related to E. bampura khorasana Uvarov.
