Strumiger desertorum desertorum Zubovsky, 1896
(Figs. 25, 143, 145, 235–236)
Material examined. TURKMENISTAN: Michailovskaya railway station, 21.5.1896, 1♂ (Lectotype, here designated); Uzun-Ada, 29.6. – 14.7.1896, 1♀ (Paralectotype) (leg. P. Vareutrov) (ZIN); 20 km SE Ak-Kuduka, 22.6.1973, 1♂ (leg. E. Narchuk); Karakum, 17 - 20.5.1953, 3♂, 5♀; Karakum, Orta-kuyu, 20- 22.5.1953, 2♂, 4♀ (ZIN).
Remarks. Uvarov (1943: 70) fixed the type locality as “Michailovskaya railway station on the Caspian Sea”. But he did not select a specimen as type. It is not a valid lectotype designation (ICZN, Article 76.2). Therefore the only specimen (male) from the Michailovskaya railway station is designated as Lectotype here. The other syntype (female) from Uzun-Ada is paralectotype.
