135. Charaxes imperialis imperialis (Butler, 1874)
WL: 45mm. The species flies in forest, including dry forest close to the Guinea savanna. It presents a wide range, but is only occasionally abundant. The typical subspecies occurs from Guinea-Bissau to Ghana and about eight other subspecies are known along Central and East Africa. Host-plants are thought to be species of Sapindaceae (Kielland, 1990) .
