149. Junonia oenone oenone (Linnaeus, 1758)
WL: 26mm. This is a ubiquitous butterfly found primarily in savanna, but also occurring in degraded forest areas and clearings. It is known throughout most of sub-Saharan Africa and southern Arabia. Host-plants consist of several species of Acanthaceae .
