195. Acraea (Acraea) quirina quirina (Fabricius, 1781)

WL: 21mm. This is a forest species that may also occur in the forest transition to Guinea savanna. It is known from Senegal to Angola, eastwards to western Kenya and Tanzania and south Sudan. A second subspecies , A. q. rosa, is known from Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania east of the Rift valley and Malawi. Known host-plants are species of Rinorea (Violaceae) and Drypetes (Euphorbiaceae) .
