191. Acraea (Acraea) egina egina (Cramer, 1775)
WL: 35mm. This subspecies is known from all types of forest, and ranges from Gambia to Nigeria and through equatorial Africa to Uganda, Kenya and south Sudan. Several subspecies have been previously described from East Africa; however, Pierre & Bernaud (2013, 2014) recently placed all of them in the nominate subspecies synonymy, with the exception of A. e. bellehui. Host-plants are reported to be some species of Flacourtiaceae and Passifloraceae .
