WL: 12m. Widely distributed along the African savannas, A. jesous also occurs in the drier areas of the Eastern Mediterranean, Morocco, Arabian Peninsula and part of the Oriental Region, namely India and Sri Lanka ; it is now assigned to Guinea-Bissau, although Larsen (2005) already suspected its presence in the country. The caterpillars feed on several species of Fabaceae .
