47. Oxylides faunus faunus (Drury, 1773)

WL: 16mm. This is a frequent forest species in some restricted areas such as the Mato de Cambeque in Cantanhez. The nominate subspecies occurs throughout the West African forests from Guinea-Bissau to eastern Nigeria, while O. f. camerunica is found in the Cross River Loop (Nigeria) and Cameroon. The host-plants are unknown.
