Remark. A species of green-bluish lustre, appendages light; body narrow and elongate, with dense punctation. Antennae pubescent from antennomere 2. Antennomere 3 longer than 4. Tarsi pubescent dorsally. Easy to separate from the two other Iranian species of the subgenus Trichochlaenius Seidlitz, 1887: C. gotschii Chaudoir, 1846, which has a bluish upperside and dark legs and antennae and C. aeneocephalus aeneocephalus Dejean, 1826 which has a shiny golden head.
Distribution. Iran and Syria.
