Material examined. Ecuador: Cotopaxi Province: 4.5 km desde el desvio de la carretera Sigchos to Las Pampas hacia San Pablo de Ahuila (-00.52379 -78.94207) 2318m, 15 Mar. 2019, 3♂ 10♀, ex: Dipluridae, Linothele sp. web, E. Tapia (ZMH-A0001882) .

Distribution. Ecuador, Cotopaxi Province.

Natural history. The specimens were collected in a Linothele sp. web in an evergreen mountain forest of the western Andes (BsMn03) (Aguirre, Toasa & Gálvez, 2013). M. otonga is found between 2225–2318m in the Andean ecoregion of Ecuador. The same web contained a female Faiditus sp. ( Theridiidae).
