Dipterygonotus balteatus (Valenciennes, 1830)

General distribution: Indo-West Pacific: East Africa east to Philippines and Solomon Islands.

Remark: This species has not been recorded from the Red Sea but was recorded from the Mediterranean (Bariche & Fricke, 2018). Since its wide Indo-Pacific distribution including the Gulf of Aden, it is evidently occurring in the Red Sea.
