Acanthococcus siambonensis González & Nicosia 2014: 4 –6.
Material examined. Holotype: Adult female. Argentina, Tucumán, Raco, El Siambón (26°42'13" S, 65°26'33" W), on Acacia sp., XI/1991, Willink col. 1(1) (IFML) . Paratypes: 4 (8 + 1 second-stage nymph (undetermined sex), with same collection data (IFML).
Additional material examined. Argentina, Tucumán, Burruyacú, Piedra Tendida (26°26'27" S, 64°55'34" W), on Acacia aroma, 19/VIII/1989, M.C.G. Willink col., 3(5) (IFML) . Entre Ríos, Federal, 1 km of Arroyo Federal Chico (30°58'14" S, 58°50'15" W), on Acacia caven, 1/XI/1998, L. Claps col. 4(9) (IFML) .
Diagnosis. Slide-mounted adult female with dorsal surface with spinose setae; cruciform pores present in cephalic and thoracic regions. Margin with 1seta on either side of each abdominal segment. Ventral surface with flagellate and enlarged spinose setae; cruciform pores abundant along entire margin and submargin; multilocular pores, each with 7 loculi, present on abdomen; metacoxa with approximately 70 pores on both surfaces (González & Nicosia 2014).
Distribution. Argentina, Neotropical region, Chaco subregion, Chaco and Pampa provinces.
