Genus Tocolichus Gaud & Atyeo, 1975

Type species: Tocolichus allepimerus Gaud & Atyeo, 1975, by original designation. The genus has included so far only two species, both from Neotropical toucans ( Piciformes: Ramphastidae): Tocolichus allepimerus Gaud & Atyeo, 1975 from Selenidera maculirostris (Lichtenstein, 1823), and T. ramphastinus (Mégnin & Trouessart, 1884), recorded from several hosts: Pteroglossus aracari (Linnaeus, 1758), Ramphastos dicolorus Linnaeus, 1766, and Aulacorhynchus caeruleogularis (Gould, 1853) . A third species, also from toucans is described below.
