Holotype female: INDONESIA, SUMATRA, North, Sibolangit, primary protected forest, 500m, 31.I.1997, ESK.

Remarks. This species differs from other previously described species in coloration and venation of the fore wing, and in the areola postica meeting M at a point. The subgenital plate has a distinct transverse sclerotised bar on the main plate.

The species name refers to the similarities of wing pattern to those of the related genus Clematoscenea .
