Genus Sliochia Gauld, 1976
Type species: Sliochia bala Gauld, 1976 (by monotypy and original designation).
Diagnosis. Small species; body short and stout; inner margins of eyes not indented opposite antennal sockets; face not separated from clypeus; clypeus not or weakly convex, apical margin weakly arcuate; mandible with a weak lamella on lower margin, lower tooth at most slightly shorter than upper tooth; temple not swollen; occipital carina reaching hypostomal carina above mandible base; mesopleuron granulose; posterior transverse carina of mesosternum complete; propodeum with area superomedia confluent with area petiolaris; fore wing areolet absent, vein 1 cu-a opposite vein M&RS; hind wing vein CU&cu-a vertical, not intercepted; first tarsal segment of hind leg with row of ventral setae medially; total length of hind tarsal segments shorter than length of hind tibia; tarsal claws short, weakly pectinate basally; glymma of first metasomal segment absent; ovipositor straight, with a nodus before an inconspicuous dorsal subapical notch.
