Treptoplatypus oxyurus (Dufour, 1843)

Distribution in Iran. Iran (no locality cited) (Knížek 2011).

General distribution. Southern Europe, Turkey.

Biology. This species is unusual in the restriction of its host trees to species of Abies (Pinaceae) (Pfeffer 1995). The mycangia and associated fungi have been described by Cassier et al. (1996).
