Metisella kakamega De Jong, 1976

Described from a unique male from Kakamega Forest by De Jong (1976), and known only from that locality. De Jong (1976) illustrates the male genitalia . MJWC has collected extensively in Kakamega Forest over four years, and checked all Metisella spp. without locating this species. It may be very localised, very rare, or both. Larsen (1991) states that the food plants are various grasses, but this is an assumption.
