Type locality. “ Malaysia, Penang Island ” .

Type material examined. None.

Additional material examined. MALAYSIA: 1♀, Bukit Larut, E. Taiping, 16-ii-1998, 1800 ASL, 15 km, leg. Cempírek. (OCPC) .

Distribution Originally described by Sharp (1876) from Penang Island (West of Malaysia) and reported by Itoh (1993) from Tapah and Kedah (Western Malaysia) and Pahang (Central Malaysia). The species is newly recorded in Bukit Larut (Western Malaysia).
