Distribution. Widely distributed species of Australian origin, known from all Canarian Islands (Eizaguirre, 2007).

Remarks. Kovář (2007) included this species in the genus Lindorus Casey. However, Lindorus was synonymized by Pope (1981) with Rhyzobius Stephens, and that decision was retained by Tomaszewska (2010) in her world revision of the genus. Consequently the species should be classified as a member of Rhyzobius .
