Scymnus (Scymnus) nubilus Mulsant 1850: 972 .

= Scymnus (Scymnus) pallidulus Wollaston 1867: 160 .

Material examined. Total of 198 specimens were collected from different plants, including Hibiscus sp., N. ole- ander, Bougainvillea sp., P. granatum, O. europaea, Phoenix canariensis, Tamarix sp. and A. donax . It was collected in Caleta de Fuste (13.II.2017, 30.III.2017), Corralejo (30.IX.2016) , Costa Calma (30.IX.2016, 12.II.2017, 13.III.2017, 22.III.2017, 27.III.2017, 04.VIII.2017, 09.VIII.2017) , Grandtarajal (03.VIII.2017) , La Lajita (12– 13.02.2017, 23.III.2017, 06.VIII.2017) , La Pared (30.09.2016, 05.VIII.2017, 07.VIII.2017, 12.VIII.2017) , Morro Jable (24.III.2017) , Pajara (12.VIII.2017) , Tarajalejo (24.III.2017) and Vega de Rio Palmas (25.III.2017) .

Distribution. New to Fuerteventura. Reported from western islands of the Canary archipelago (Eizaguirre 2007), specifically El Hierro, La Gomera, La Palma and Gran Canaria (Oromí & Báez 2010; Nicolas 2010). Species widely distributed in the Mediterranean and Middle Eastern regions (Kovář 2007). Recorded also in Pakistan (Gilgit-Baltistan) (Ashfaque et al. 2015), India (Poorani & Lalitha 2018) and Nepal (Bielawski 1972). Erroneously reported from Kashmir (Pakistan) by Rashid et al. (2017). Male genitalia illustrated by the authors clearly differ from those in specimens from Fuerteventura as well as India depicted by Poorani & Lalitha (2018).
