Plekocheilus (Eurytus) elaeodes (Pfeiffer, 1853)

Bulimus elaeodes Pfeiffer 1853b: 256 . Type locality: “in Andibus Novae Granadae.” Richardson 1995: 310 (references).

Remarks. The description given by Pfeiffer (cf. Pilsbry 1895 [1895 –1896]: 86) and the figures (Pfeiffer 1853c: pl. 30 figs 23–24) do not seem to match completely. Pfeiffer’s information suggests that this taxon may prove to be a synonym of P. pulicarius (Reeve, 1848) . We have not been able to find material that can be attributed to this taxon.
