(Figs 13 G–I)
Bulimus roseolabrum E.A. Smith 1877: 362 . Type locality: Ecuador, Prov. Loja, Malacatos. Lectotype BMNH 1975135 (Breure 1978). Plekocheilus roseolabrum (Smith); Richardson 1995: 320 (references), Breure & Borrero 2008: 6.
Material. Ecuador, Prov. Loja, Malacatos: BMNH.
Remarks. This taxon is characterized by the dark parietal callus, the granulate surface on shallow elevations of the surface (Fig. 13 I) and the color pattern with predominantly axial brown streaks. The specimen from Prov. Zamora-Chinchipe, referred to by Breure and Borrero (2008) on the basis of a photograph only, proves to belong to a different, as yet unidentified species. The type locality may be near the town of Malacatos (~ 1675 m), or may refer to a location along the Malacatos River, including higher elevations.
