Plekocheilus nachiyacu Pilsbry 1939: 2, fig. 1. Type locality: Ecuador, nachiyacu [corrected to Colombia, no precise locality; teste Clench and Turner 1962]. Holotype ANSP 170693. Plekocheilus Nachiyacu Pilsbry; Richardson 1995: 317 (references).

Material. Ecuador, Napo, SE of Quito, between Baeza and Archidona, Nachiyacu [corrected to “ Colombia,” see above], ex Jackson: ANSP 170693, ANSP 424993.

Remarks. This species has been misinterpreted, probably due to the confusion caused by the interchange of type localities with P. oligostylus Pilsbry, 1939, published in the same paper (cf. Clench & Turner 1962). It may turn out to be mixed in with P. coloratus (see remarks under that taxon).
