Canthidium planovultum Howden & Young, 1981: 83 [here transferred to the subgenus Canthidium]. Type locality: Panama: Chiriquí, 2 km west of Cerro Punta, 1,300 m, 08°51'N, 82°36'W. Type material: Holotype male (CMNC—ex Howden collection). Distribution: Costa Rica and Panama (Kohlmann & Solís 2004).
