Note: Specific epithet spelled “aculeata” in the protologue. López González (in Anales Jard. Bot. Madrid 44: 589. 1987) treated this name as a synonym of R. bucephalophorus, noting that typification using either 464.39 or 464.40 (LINN) would maintain this position.
