Lectotype (Jonsell & Jarvis in Nordic J. Bot. 22: 71. 2002): Herb. Clifford: 340, Raphanus 2 (BM-000646374) .

Current name: Raphanus raphanistrum L. ( Brassicaceae).

Note: Jafri (in Nasir & Ali, Fl. W. Pakistan 55: 34. 1973) and later authors have treated 846.4 (LINN) as the type, but this collection was sent to Linnaeus by Brander and did not reach him until after 1753. It cannot, therefore, be original material for the name.
