Rosa sempervirens Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 1: 492. 1753.

"Habitat in Germania." RCN: 3740.

Lectotype (Heath in Calyx 2: 51. 1992): [icon] " Rosa sempervirens Jungerm. Clus. " in Dillenius, Hort. Eltham. 2: 326, t. 246, f. 318. 1732.

Current name: Rosa sempervirens L. ( Rosaceae).

Note: Stearn (in de la Roche & al., Comment. Les Roses: 344. 1978) suggested that the lectotype "could be" the cited Dillenius plate, and this was later formalised by Heath.
