Lectotype (Cramer in Dassanayake & Fosberg, Revised Handb. Fl. Ceylon 3: 396. 1981): Herb. Hermann 2: 22, No. 238 (BM-000621584) .

Current name: Centranthera indica (L.) Gamble ( Scrophulariaceae).

Note: Specific epithet spelled “indica” in the protologue.

Although Cramer indicated the type in the Hermann herbarium (BM) as "Mus. No. 20", the only material that could have been intended is that in vol. 2: 22, comprising two closely associated specimens and this material is therefore accepted as the type.
