Lectotype (Ali in Nasir & Ali, Fl. W. Pakistan 100: 87. 1977): Herb. Linn. No. 922.1 (LINN) .

Current name: Sesbania grandiflora (L.) Pers. ( Fabaceae: Faboideae).

Note: Although Fawcett & Rendle (Fl. Jamaica 4: 24. 1920) indicated material in LINN as type, they did not distinguish between sheets 922.1 and 922.2 (which are evidently not part of a single gathering so Art. 9.15 does not apply). Ali appears to have been the first to make an unequivocal choice.
