Augochlora morrae Strand, 1910: 471, holotype ♀ (ZMB) from Paraguay, ‘ Villa Morra’ . Not examined.

Halictus hemitomes Vachal, 1911: 43, lectotype ♀ (MNHP, accession number EY25514) from Bolivia. Designation by Lepeco & Gonçalves (2020). Examined through photographs.

Diagnosis. This species has a rugulose preepisternum, copper-red metasomal terga and striate gena and postgena, characteristics that separates it from other Oxystoglossella occurring at the southernmost South America. A. (Augochlora) hestia sp. nov. is similar to this species in color pattern, but lacks the typical characteristics of the subgenus.

Comments. Augochlora morrae was redescribed by Lepeco & Gonçalves (2020), nests were studied by Michener & Lange (1958).

Distribution. A. morrae has a broad distribution in Brazil, occurring in the states of Bahia, Ceará, Espírito Santo, Goiás, Mato Grosso do Sul, Minas Gerais, Paraíba, Paraná, Rio de Janeiro, Santa Catarina, S„o Paulo, and Sergipe. The species is also recorded in Argentina, Bolívia and Paraguay.
