Eucypris opulenta Margalef 1961

Eucypris (Guaiqueria) opulenta — Margalef 1961: 102–103, fig. 12; E. opulenta — Martens & Behen 1994: 31; E. opulenta — Karanovic 2012: 472.

Type locality: 10 m diameter pond, southeast of Juan Griego, near this town and the road, Margarita Island, NUEVA ESPARTA State, Venezuela (GN 11º04’54” N, 63º57’56” W). Holotype (♀)—IPP, catalog number not known.

In Venezuela: this corresponds to the type locality (Margalef 1961) .

Remarks: this species has only been recorded in Venezuela. For this reason, it is considered endemic. Martens & Behen (1994) do not use the subgenus Guaiqueria Margalef 1961, and transfer the nominal taxon to its current combination.
