Distribution: 15 species—mostly Neotropical, Japan, India. Note: Undescribed species in Honduras (CMNH); Ecuador, Peru, Brazil (FMNH).

Biology: Feeding on fruiting bodies of puffball fungi (Gasteromycetes) in moist forests (Newton, 1984).
