Holotype male [a single specimen of the type locality in original description, assumed as holotype] in MNHN [in Jeannel, 1936 and Szymczakowski, 1963; but Gnaspini, 1996 examined an additional female labeled “type” from BMNH [but as ‘MNHN’ [sic] in captions of figs. 152-163 in Gnaspini & Peck, 2019], possibly a paratype, not labeled as such, and which was considered a doubtful record in Gnaspini & Peck, 2019].
Type locality: “Bahia (collected in Paris on tobacco from Bahia)”, Brazil.
Distribution: Brazil: Bahia State: (probably) known only from “type locality”.
Note 1: Szymczakowski, 1963: 671 NMPC specimens (Brazil: São Paulo) actually belong to two different species (Gnaspini, 1996: 540). They refer to A. mrazi and A. waclawi (Gnaspini & Peck, 2019: 31, 32, 34).
Note 2: Szymczakowski, 1970: 329 specimen (Brazil: Paraná) could not be related to a species, and was considered a doubtful record in Gnaspini & Peck, 2019: 34.
Note 3: The record in Salgado, 2005d: 969, 2015b: 33 (Brazil: Santa Catarina) is considered doubtful/erroneous (Gnaspini & Peck, 2019: 34).
