Holotype: UMMZ 113027.

Type locality: “ 1,375 m on Pico Periquito, Rancho Grande, Estado Aragua, Venezuela.”

Distribution: Region 2. Surroundings of the type locality, 1,310 –1,375 m asl.

Remarks: Nothing is known of this species beyond the original description and some natural history notes by Dixon and Rivero Blanco (1985). It appears to be quite rare, difficult to observe and collect, or it may have suffered a severe decline.
